AUXSOL ASN-110TL-PLUS, Overview
The AUXSOL ASN-110TL-PLUS is a 110 kW three-phase transformerless string inverter from Ningbo AUX Solar (AUX Group), targeting commercial rooftop and ground-mount solar installations in the 300 kWp to 2 MWp range. It sits at the top of the ASN-(99-110)TL-PLUS series, alongside the 99 kW and 100 kW variants, and it carries reactive power compensation, which has become a grid operator requirement in several European markets.
Before anything else, a caveat that belongs at the top rather than buried in a footnote. AUXSOL has no independent test or review coverage anywhere - not pv-magazine, not Clean Energy Reviews, not EnergySage - and no mainstream European distributor (Memodo, Krannich, Segen, Wattuneed) carries the brand. The company is real and the product is real. The evidence base you'd normally use to sanity-check a commercial inverter is not. Everything below comes from AUXSOL's own published data or from regional resellers.
At 110 kW, this is a mid-range commercial inverter, above the residential/small commercial segment (3-30 kW) and below the utility-scale central inverter segment (500 kW+). Multiple units are typically deployed in parallel across large commercial rooftop arrays, connected to a central monitoring platform via Modbus RTU or Ethernet.
8 MPPT Inputs, and Why the Variant You're Quoted Matters
Commercial rooftops rarely have uniform orientation. Roof sections face south, southeast, and east. Shadows from HVAC equipment, vent stacks, and neighboring structures fall on different parts of the array at different times of day. Tracker count is how you keep those mismatches off each other.
Here's the part that trips people up. The PLUS runs 8 MPPT across 16 string inputs. The older, non-PLUS ASN-110TL takes 10 MPPT and 20 strings. So the PLUS has fewer trackers, not more, and a suffix that reads like an upgrade is doing the opposite on the spec that most installers care about. That's poor naming, and I'd push back on any quote that leans on "PLUS" as shorthand for better string flexibility.
Eight trackers is still workable. For a 330 kWp array across three roof sections with four orientations, you get two dedicated trackers per orientation, which is enough to stop a shaded east face from dragging on a clean south face. If you genuinely need finer granularity than that, ask for the plain ASN-110TL instead, or split the array across more inverters.
98.60% Peak Efficiency
AUXSOL rates the ASN-110TL-PLUS at 98.60% max efficiency. Competing 100-110 kW string inverters from Sungrow (SG110CX-P2) and Huawei (SUN2000-100KTL-M1) sit a couple of tenths higher. At this power class, efficiency is not a primary differentiator - installation cost, warranty support, and MPPT configuration are more relevant selection criteria.
The physical package is the surprise here. At 735 x 530 x 285 mm and 60 kg, the ASN-110TL-PLUS is unusually compact for 110 kW. That's a two-person wall mount rather than a floor cabinet, which cuts the structural work on a rooftop plant room. AUXSOL does not publish a cooling method for this unit on its product page, and a 60 kg 110 kW inverter is very unlikely to be passively cooled, so treat fan servicing as part of the O&M budget until AUXSOL confirms otherwise in writing.
Reactive Power Compensation
The ASN-110TL-PLUS supports reactive power output from 0.8 leading to 0.8 lagging power factor, configurable via the monitoring interface. This meets the reactive power requirements of German, Italian, and Dutch grid codes that mandate dynamic reactive power support from inverters connected at medium voltage. For installations requiring grid code compliance in these markets, reactive power capability is not optional, it's required for grid approval.
Without reactive power compensation, commercial arrays above 100 kW in these markets require external reactive power compensation equipment, adding EUR 8,000-20,000 to installation cost depending on system size. The ASN-110TL-PLUS eliminates this cost for qualifying systems.
Monitoring and Communication
Standard communication is RS485 (Modbus RTU) and Ethernet. AUXSOL advertises cloud monitoring, but it does not publish the platform name or its per-account device limit, so get both confirmed before you design a fleet dashboard around it.
For installations requiring third-party SCADA integration, Modbus RTU is the most widely supported protocol. Sunspec certification status is not published for this model either. Ask AUXSOL for it in writing before specifying this inverter in a multi-vendor SCADA installation.
Optional 4G/GPRS communication module is available for remote sites without Ethernet infrastructure.

Sungrow and Huawei dominate commercial string inverter installations in Europe and Asia, primarily because their service networks are well-established and project finance lenders recognize them. AUXSOL sells through quote-based regional resellers instead, so there's no public list price to compare against - which also means nobody can tell you what the saving actually is until you've asked for a quote.
The risk consideration follows from that. AUXSOL's commercial service network is thinner than Sungrow's or Huawei's, and a lender financing a 1 MWp rooftop will notice. For projects with strict uptime requirements and O&M contracts, verify local service coverage before specifying. For owner-occupied commercial rooftops where in-house maintenance handles inverter issues, the trade is more defensible.
Sizing Context
A single ASN-110TL-PLUS powers approximately 280-330 solar panels at 400W each, covering 700-900 sq. m. of roof area. For a 1 MWp commercial installation, 9-10 units would be deployed in parallel across the array sections.
