Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

Accelerate Solar earns nothing when you buy a panel, an inverter or a battery we wrote about. It does earn something from one banner that sits under each article, and this page names both, because for a long time it described neither correctly.

The one affiliate link

Below every article there is a single banner for Amazon Business. It is an Amazon Associates link, tagged to this site and marked rel="sponsored" in the markup. If you open a free account through it, Amazon may pay us a fixed fee. It costs you nothing, the account is the same one you would get by going to Amazon directly, and a line of fine print under the button says as much. As an Amazon Associate, this site earns from qualifying sign-ups and purchases.

The banner is identical under every article. It was picked for the kind of reader who buys connectors, rail and meters in bulk, not for the article above it, and no manufacturer can pay to change it or to appear in it.

A temporary banner until 8 October 2026

Until 8 October 2026 a banner promoting Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sits on every page of this site. Its button is an Amazon Associates link carrying our tracking id, and the banner labels itself "Ad". If you buy something on Amazon after clicking it, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It is the one exception to what this page says about links elsewhere on the site, and it goes away after that date.

Product links earn nothing

Every product page here ends in a link to the manufacturer's own product or datasheet page: Huawei, SolarEdge, Fronius, SMA, Growatt, Enphase, Tesla, BYD and the rest. Those are the primary sources the specifications came from. They pay nothing, they carry no tracking parameter, and they exist so you can check a figure against the vendor rather than take our word for it. This site is in no affiliate program with any manufacturer, installer or retailer.

Why the buttons say "View at ..." and not "Check price"

Because a datasheet is not a storefront. A manufacturer page usually lists no price at all, so a button promising one made a promise the destination could not keep. The label now names where you are about to land, and the link carries rel="nofollow" without sponsored, since Google defines sponsored as paid placement and nobody is paying for those. The Amazon banner is the opposite case and carries sponsored. Each label follows what the link really is.

How we choose what to recommend

Nothing here is a paid placement, and no company can pay to be featured, ranked or praised. Coverage is chosen on merit from manufacturer datasheets and the published work of the IEA, the EC Joint Research Centre and NREL, and we say plainly when a product is not worth it. The banner pays the same whichever inverter an article recommends, so there is no commission to set against that judgement in either direction.

Why spell this out?

Because when you read that one hybrid inverter beats another at the same price, the first fair question is what the writer stood to earn from that verdict. The answer is nothing from the product, and a small fee if a reader happens to open a business account. You should be able to check that rather than assume it.

The United States Federal Trade Commission requires anyone with a financial relationship to a product or service to make it clear and conspicuous, and comparable rules apply in the UK and the EU. Those rules are aimed at hidden relationships. Inventing one is the mirror image of the same offence, and until September 2026 this page did that. Denying a link that is live is the same failure from the other side, and that is what the previous version of this page did once the banner went up.

If that changes

If a product link ever becomes a paid one, two things happen before it goes live: this page gets rewritten to name the program, and the article carrying it gets a disclosure above the recommendation rather than below it. Until you see that, the banner is the only commercial link on the site.
